Services
AST’s Foreign National Services team (FNS) collaborates with International Scholar Operations (ISO) to aid units in sponsoring H-1B temporary workers. We coordinate document collection with the unit and scholar; submit ISO/Academic HR’s (AHR) visa request for conditional approval; and coordinate delivery of the I-797 Approval Notice to the scholar. This section includes information for permanent residence sponsorship (Green Card).
FNS collaborates with ISO to aid units in sponsoring J-1 exchange visitors. We coordinate document collection with the unit and scholar; submit ISO/AHR’s visa request for conditional approval; and ensure the DS-2019 is delivered to the scholar. This section includes information for Visiting International Student Internship & Training (VISIT) — a research program offered to J-1 eligible international students.
