A UW Finance excel template is required for creating, editing, or deactivating Cost Center, Program, Stand Alone Grant, Activity, or Assignee Worktags, their default Worktags, and their Worktag Hierarchies.
To request a change to sponsored Grant Worktags, submit a modification request to the Grant and Contract Accounting (GCA) Office via Award Portal.
Step 1. Download Template
Download the excel template from the UW Connect Finance Worktag Template Job Aid.
Step 2. Email Robert
Email the completed template to Robert Young at ryng@uw.edu for review. Once it has been verified that all the required information is included, they will submit the Foundation Data Model (FDM) Data Element Management Request.
Emailing the Worktag Template file directly to Robert is the fastest way to get your new tags requested, please DO NOT create your own FDM Data Element Request.
